Hello, Westfield Friends!
I'm Alexis Lowry, and I'm proud to call Westfield my home. Born and raised right here, I know the heartbeat of this community like the back of my hand. As a middle child of four siblings, I learned the values of compassion, teamwork, and hard work early on.
My journey has taken me from the soccer fields of an all-boys team, where I proved that girls can excel in any arena, to becoming a force in the Girl Scouts, selling more cookies than my entire troop combined. You could say I've been training to run for office my whole life without realizing it. I took those early lessons to Indiana University, where I met my incredible husband, Josh. Our journey together has been one of resilience and hope, as we faced the challenges of infertility head-on. Today, as proud parents of four wonderful adopted kids—soon to be five officially adopted—we know that love and family are what truly matter.
Beyond our human family, we're also a proud pack of three dogs, a rabbit, and a bearded dragon. As a dedicated mother, wife, and entrepreneur, I've learned the importance of balance, grit, and commitment. Coaching my kids' sports teams and running my own business have shown me the impact of dedication and community support.
This year, as Josh and I celebrate 16 years of marriage, I'm also ready to take my commitment to our community to the next level. Running for City Council isn't just a decision; it's a passion. I want to give back to the place that has shaped me, the place where my kids are growing up, and the place they'll always call home.
Together, we can ensure that Westfield remains a city of opportunity, growth, and unity—a place where our children can thrive and return to, just as I have. I'm excited to work alongside you to build a brighter future for Westfield, one that we can all be proud of.
